The West Fork Camp has changed the lives of countless campers, counselors and members of the local community. The camp provides a place for kids to come in the summer and get away from their normal pace of life and learn of God's love for them. As a young person I attended camp and during a morning class, I accepted the Lord into my life. I have many memories of classes, services and going to the camp store to buy snacks. They had a old coke box that was filled with cold water and the bottled cokes. You might have to "fish" several times to get the type of cold drink you wanted, but once you got it it was cold and good!! Things at the camp have become a little more modern since I attended and I know the spiritual impact continues to bless lives.

Going to this camp was a highlight of every summer growing up in Texas. It was great to get outdoors and "rough" it for a week. It was a family affair for us since my parents always worked. I pray the camp will be able to continue for many generations to come.Getting away from TV and getting closer to God was what it was all about. I will always cherish the memories I have from the West Fork camp.

The West Fork Youth Camp was established 50 years again and countless number of kids have attended. For me, I have memories that will stay with me forever of friendships made and how my life and the lives of my sons were changed. Serving on the Board has been an extension of the love I have for the camp and how strongly I feel we should strive to continue the ministry there. Kids need that peace now more than ever, so our mission must continue.
