Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Cancer, Counseling, Health, Health Support, Mental Health
Mission: To enhance healing and well-being by bringing accessible holistic practices to people facing health challenges and those pursuing continued wellness.
Programs: Alternative health care, general: with the help of more than 110 volunteers who contributed over 1000 service hours, well within offered integrative healing services, classes & workshops, support groups and presentations on health and wellness topics to the wider community. All these programs support individuals seeking greater balance and wellness in their lives. Integrating body,mind, emotions and spirit is essential to healing. Well within offers a variety of approaches to explore an individuals healing journey, as well as powerful tools for doing the inner work that so often accompanies a health crisis. Being part of a supportive and healing community also develops within the network of the center. Well within was honored to help 2,440 individuals in 2011 to live as fully as possible with serious illnesses and other challenging life situations. Our outreach program provided free healing touch sessions, stress reduction retreats and other programs to low income/homeless populations, including in spanish to hispanic women within their own communities. Outside presentations in 2011 were given at minnesota & hematology, pa, healtheast care systems, breast cancer awareness conference, and numerous churches and hospitals. Additionally, an average of approximately 19,000 listeners tuned in to our hope, healing and well being internet radio show each week.
