Causes: Biological & Life Sciences
Mission: The weizmann institute of science, located in rehovot, israel, is one of the worlds top-ranking, multidisciplinary research institutions. At any one time, several thousand scientists, staff and students are involved in hundreds of research projects in the life sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics and computer science to advance our understanding of the world in which we live.
Programs: In addition to its multidisciplinary research in such areas as cancer, the brain, personalized medicine, alternative energy, nanoscience and computer science, the weizmann institute has the feinberg graduate school. Feinberg graduate school is chartered as a higher education institute in the state of new york, and is accredited by the israel council for higher education. Fgs is also recognized as an exempt organization under section 501(c)(3).
