Programs: The weiner nusim foundation's major activities during the 2017-2018 fiscal year included a series of educational and community outreach initiatives. A major project was the implementation and expansion of a series of educational programs for the art deco society of new york. These outreach programs included support for the documenting deco school program which reaches new york city middle and senior high school students living in economically depressed neighboorhoods with supplemental curriculum program and "exploring the roots of modernism" an educational program exploring the architectural,artisitic and cultural roots of modern architecture and design in the 1920s and 30s in new york and other key cities. The weiner nusim foundation also provided sponsorship for attendance at architectural and cultural educational conferences sponsored by other art deco societies.
