Mission: This program will consist of a campaign in which boxing personalities, especially worked champions, will visit children's hospitals to encourage them to keep up the hard work and show them that there is always the possibility to succeed in whatever battle there might be. Like health care, boxing is an individual pursuit that takes a team effort to succeed. "wbc cares - big champs for little champs" - is our way of becoming part of a larger team helping sick children and the champions serve them.
Programs: The organization was able to visit schools, youth centers and gyms with the athletes in the program and held panels and events that centered around anti bullying and anti drugs. In addition, the organization reached out to the students, jointly, with mental health providers in their areas, and provided literature and contact numbers in the teen suicide prevention campaign and for peace week. They also worked with hope for henry, autism speaks, and various other organizations, visiting hospitals and focusing on a child's need for quality of life, fun and inspiration.
