I am from Uganda and I met this cow boy on Facebook.
As a parent struggling with a broken health and education system, he came through for me during this lockdown due to Covid when my children had no hope for food the next day. We have been hit hard and many families go without and cannot even afford the medical bills. People like this man give us hope to face tomorrow no matter the challenges we face.
It takes a big heart that loves God to do what he does, a complete stranger all the way in Africa, am very lucky.
I do hope that more people come together and support this cause(well, give me and my children food and help settle bills).
Thank you Roman
As ceo of waylons southern thunder ranch inc , its been an honor to provide many kinds of aid to families who suffer the loss of a child. Its also been an honor and my good fortune the have an out pouring of support kindness and love from so many. to date we have provided some type of aid to nearly1ooo famiies nation wide and in 3 other countries. I could not have done this with out the help of the members of our board and friends that give time money and ideas to our foundation. When our son waylon was killed in a wreck in 1999, life changed , everything changed, It took me 3 years to really put myself back together, and i realized i could make something good out of my experience and at the same time honor my son. I hope some of you will find it in your hearts to donate so we can help more and more families thru this crippling time, god bless all yall, thank you to all my helpers and donors, cowboy up Smoky
This is a wonderful foundation that aids families in so many ways, it is my hopes that people can find it in their hearts to donate...Every dollar counts and every penny of every dollar goes directly to helping these families through the worst loss you can imagine,,,god bless waylons southern thunder ranch
Wen I lost my son waylons thunder ranch helped me so much
Financially and mentally.
Continued support along the way.
Nobody understands like roman at waylans thunder ranch.
Don't kno if I'd still be here without them.
Upon first meeting Smoky and his family, you sense their humble gratitude for safely navigating through the emotional waters of loss for one more day. The debilitating tragedy of losing his son, Waylon, ignited Smoky’s abundant desire to help other families facing this life-shattering event themselves. By coming alongside them, this charity gives them not only help but hope. Hope to make it through another day.. even if it’s just one second at a time.
Waylon’s Southern Thunder Ranch is a glowing light born out of a dark night. But they need your help to reach as many broken families as possible. When the heart-breaking calls come in for emergency financial assistance with food or forgotten bills or family counseling because while it felt like time stopped the needs didn’t, where will the money come from if not from donors like you and me? And who will answer the call if not for Waylon’s Southern Thunder Ranch?
Even if this particular crisis hasn’t touched your family directly yet, please pay it forward to bolster the lives of those who have to face it afresh every morning. Thanks to Smoky and WSTR, they won’t be facing it alone.
Waylon’s Southern Thunder Ranch deserves all the support you can give. Waylon was a great kid. Smokey is the most compassionate person I have ever met. This is a wonderful charity. I pray that I will never need their services, but if I do, Smokey will be the first in line to help me & mine. God Bless you for all you do!
If I tried to put into words how truly grateful I am to Roman and this organization, I would quickly exceed the limit of characters allowed for this review. Smoky reached out to me at a very difficult time in my life. I was reluctant to respond out of fear of sounding like I was complaining and hated to admit my position, I but felt comfortable and shared story and struggle. Roman listened to me with a caring, understanding and open mind and heart. With the encouragement and help of this wonderful place, I was able and hopeful to face life head-on. Roman, thank you from the bottom of my heart and the inner depths of my soul. I AM NOT ALONE AND NO ONE ELSE ON THIS JOURNEY THROUGH HELL HAS TO BE EITHER.
Roman and his ranch they are needed to help people that's whyhe has the ranch to ho!nor his son Waylon he done so much good just talking to people just think what he could do ifhe could open his ranch to others who need help will you all help him so he can do this
First and foremost I want to thank you Jesus for bringing Roman into my life, I praise your heavenly name..... I'm not very good with words and there are no words to describe what a wonderful caring man Roman is and what an amazing cause he has devoted his life to helping other grieving families while living with the grief of losing his own son Waylon.... I'm raising my now 9 yr old grandson and when Roman and I started messaging and sharing stories he ask for my address several times so he could send me info about the ranch....i was skeptical for months and when I finally did not only did he send me info there was a check enclosed too.... I was so blown away because nobody ever reached out to me! Here a complete stranger has reached out and not only has helped me emotionally but finiancely too! I was so touched I sat down and cried ..... I was so mad at myself for not trusting him..... and it don't stop there it doesn't matter what time day or night I know if I need him he will be there for me, even if it's just to vent,(and oh can I vent) I have never in my life met such an amazing man.....everywhere I go I mention his name and reach out for people to donate to this organization..... ok I'm going to write a book here so I will stop.... please if you are looking for a nonprofit organization to donate to, look no further, it doesn't get any better than waylons thunder ranch.....love you Roman
I met Smokey on Facebook as he saw my profile as I loss my only daughter Heather, to murder. He sent me,a friend's request and a beautiful, compassionate message on Facebook .He is a very amazing, religious man that has helped so many grieving parents.
I found Waylon ranch when I was searching for support and boy did I find way more then support. The ranch helped me keep my vehicle when I was in to much pain to work. My son James was murdered 2 years ago and Smokey has every few weeks popped in to check on me. When you have lost a child people turn the other way in fear of not saying the right things so having Smokey and the ranch in my life is such a wonderful blessing. So please if you have it in your heart donate to this ranch even if it's just a $1, because in this bereaved life we are alone till Waylons ranch finds us.
I have known Roman (Smokey) and his family most of my life. I was so lucky to have known his wonderful son Waylon as well. He was a great kid and so close to his Dad. Together always they were, Smokey was my Dads best friend. These men were real Cowboys. I know my Dad is in heaven horseback riding the trails together with Waylon.❤️ Roman has been also helping me deal with my stage 4 cancer. Always praying for me and assuring me I am not alone in this. Love how he still calls my Dad his nickname "Bucking Bob". So many wonderful memories of those So Happy Times. And since I have gotten sick he has been writing me and has giving me Faith that we will all be together once again. Really feel close to my Dad through our friendship too. What he is doing to help others is just so Amazing. He has turned the worst thing that could possibly happen as a parent into helping others who have gone n going through the same tragic loss. I just know Waylons Southern Thunder Ranch is just going to be. A special place to go. I now go to my brothers farm when going through a tough time and it changes everything. The animals their the moment I wake and the peacefulness of the farm. Theirs just nothing that can compare. I know WSTR is going to give families that feeling too. Thank you Roman for all your love n encouragement. Waylons Southern Thunder Ranch is just the perfect place to getaway and help so many . ❤️ Love you so very much my friend.
I was moved very deeply by Smoky and Waylon’s Southern Thunder Ranch. Smoky reached out to me knowing I was struggling to survive after losing my Som Joshua. Smokk’s compassion in his heart for other grieving parents, to me makes him and angel here on earth. They are more than willing to help in any way they possibly can. Words cannot express enough on how blessed I am to have found smoky and his ranch. I was struggling to come up with enough money to purchase a urn for my sons ashes, and as soon as Smoky heard about this, he and his family paid for the entire thing for me. I can’t thank them enough. The world would be a much better place if we had more Smoky’s out there. Thank you again, your son Waylon is smiling down on you for not only your kindness but also for doing something that will honour your child’s life forever!
Smokey has helped my husband cope a bit better with the devastating loss of his daughter.
His kind soul has the gift of teaching the bereaved to "break it down", and realize that you can only do so much, and then kiss it up to God. (Yes, God!!)
Waylons Southern Thunder Ranch is a blessing to those in need of their services, and is led by a truly great soul.
It has been a great privilege to have Waylons Thunder Ranch come into my life.....i have been assisted both emotionally and financially by the Ranch.....there are no words that can describe my love and gratitude, I have for Waylons Thunder Ranch..... I thank you for your continued friendship and support.... Love Sandy
Great people do great things. Smokey is my uncle and I think the help and support he is giving to others is amazing. When he lost his son Waylon I was afraid he wouldn’t get through it..I didn’t think anyone could, but he did. And now he’s doing great thing to help others dealing with the type of loss- so for anyone out there facing the loss of a child I know he can help you. Your amazing Smokey!!!

God Bless you Smoky
