For a couple of years now I have volunteered in the Arts in Medicine program at Watson Clinic in Lakeland Florida. Mostly I work on art projects such as card making or hat painting with cancer patients and their family members. I also painted an "undersea" mural in the chemo ward. Hopefully this area will help calm and relax patients in this stressful and difficult time of life. It has been a pleasure to work with the staff of the Arts In Medicine program. Specifically Julie Boone has been wonderful to work for. Such a vibrant and hard working person. I have enjoyed every experience with the Arts in Medicine program and look forward to being able to share much more.
