Mission: The mission of the corporation is to be the national unifying association of america's numerous inland waterways and ports infrastructure interests, serving as the definitive spokesperson for inland waterways infrastructure in washington and around the country.
Programs: Promoted a positive public awareness of the national economic, societal, and environmental benefits of a modern and well maintained ports and inland navigation system. The organization's communication plan included newspaper and magazine articles, press releases, print ads and tv commercials.
held annual meeting to inform and educate members and others regarding new and upcoming legislation affecting the industry. Approximately 175 members and organization staff attended the meeting. The annual meeting included presentation on various topics important to the industry.
