Mission: To provide life, love and hope through water. We raise funds to help provide for global and local water needs, including the local homeless and homebound. Our schools for wells program goes into local school districts to raise awareness among future generations.
Programs: Water for our world 2014 summary:wet n- wild water drive once again yielded numerous pallets of water for st. Marys food bank est. 10,000 bottles. Due to the warm winter an early truckload of water was needed for our cities homeless and home bound 40,000 bottles delivered. Run for the thirsty 4th annual run of 500 runners and created awareness and once again had salvation army truck their collecting upwards of 8,000 bottles of water. Water drives- as a result of our continues messaging through media networks we have seen a increase every year of local businesses and schools and churches doing drives around the valley. Our local high school collected 7 pallets totaling 11,700+ bottles. Working with heat relief network and affiliated organizations to better understand the homeless and home bound deaths and solutions to decrease those numbers. Purchase and distribute insulated polar water bottles with unique messaging on each bottle as a reminder drink water stay healthy 3-4 bottle a day. Marathon team hard to believe our 7th year run to raise fund for liberia to provide a well and for a water pile line for an orphanage in kenya. We also helped with food to the ebola stricken country of liberia and sierra leone. Trip to liberia a powerful trip we had several board members along with others that are passionate for the people of liberia. We were able to visit a school that we help to build and see several of the wells we funded. More importantly we met the people whose lives were forever changed. Those same wells also played a huge part in helping so many during the ebola crises. We also scouted out other sites for future project. The need is so great, but was powerful to see the impact clean water has. Cvs relationship formed. A subsequent tour of st. Marys food bank established a food and water distribution opportunity to meet local needs. Schools for wells once again help to educate youth on the critical need for clean water. This program reached thousand of students of all ages. And help raise funds for projects in liberia and kenya.
