Mission: Wartburg Theological Seminary serves the entire United States and is also engaged in partner relationships with other Lutheran Churches of the world. Special relationships exist with several churches of Africa, South America and Asia, along with a historic connection with the Evangelical Lutheran Church-Papua New Guinea. Wartburg graduates serve in 63 of the 65 ELCA synods at present and Wartburg graduates holding advanced degrees now returned to their homeland number more than 200 church leaders and servants. At present, 46 synods are represented in the Wartburg student body.
