My husband, Stuart Williamson, began work to have Habitat for Humanity in Walker County, Texas in 1983.
The organization has continued ever since, building new homes to help families who live in less desirable
housing. We know that children who move into larger, more comfortable housing begin improving their
grades in school almost immediately. Stuart has passed away but I sincerely hope the community that has continued building houses for this purpose for more than 30 years will continue this worthwhile project.
