Mission: The mission of Volunteers of America Colorado Branch is to serve the basic needs of the most vulnerable individuals and families in the community. From modest beginnings on Larimer Street in 1898, where the deserted families of miners were given food, shelter and comfort, to helping 254,209 people in 2002, Volunteers of America has continued to follow the directive of its founders to reach and uplift people in need.
Programs: To plan, construct, operate, maintain, improve, and provide rental housing and related facilities and services for elderly families and elderly persons on a non-profit basis specially designed to meet the physical, social, and psychological needs of the aged, and contribute to their health, security, happiness and usefulness in longer living.
