Volunteer McKinney has helped pave the path to success for so many non-profit organizations in McKinney. Volunteer McKinney provides wonderful networking events and connects volunteers to non-profits. It is a huge win for everyone involved...the volunteers and the non-profit organizations. I have been asked to serve on several boards; however, Volunteer McKinney was the first organization that I truly felt passionate about. This organization takes our community to the next level and I'm very proud to be a part of it.
Volunteer McKinney is simply Amazing!!! I work for a nonprofit and Volunteer McKinney has helped us network with so many other similar organizations and also with people in the community that want to get involved with our cause. Dana Riley and her staff are so passionate about making McKinney the Greatest City to live. We are fortunate to have such wonderful people in our community. xoxo
Volunteer McKinney is an asset to not only for the City of McKinney, but also for Collin County. They work diligently to make this community a better place to live and work and raise a family. They work at motivating and inspiring the youth, adults and families to give back an help those in need in their community. I look forward to volunteering for the Santa on the Square event where families can schedule a private appointment with Santa!!!
This is such a streamlined group focused on the McKinney community. It’s all-in approach to North Texas Giving. Also, there’s Santa on the Square that is such a big draw and a good photo-op for children-at-heart of all ages. Phenomenal organization.
Volunteer McKinney is one of the best non-profit organizations in the Collin County area. They focus on helping all other non-profits reach their potential. They mentor, train, support, and guide over 100 organizations. They work tirelessly with a small team to ensure communication and expertise is passed between organizations. They really believe in connecting organizations to best serve the community.
I joined the board at VM about 2 years ago. I supported and watched this organization for many years and wanted to be connected to something this good and this dedicated.
All in all a top notch organization.
I can't say enough good things about Volunteer McKinney. We just finished up McKinney Make A Difference Day volunteering with over 700 volunteers making our city a better place through volunteerism.
Volunteer McKinney is an exceptional volunteer nonprofit. We just completed our first participation in the Volunteer McKinney Make A Difference Day. Our volunteers were all exceptional and the organization by Volunteer McKinney was top notch. The Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney will definitely sign up next year for this event.

Volunteer McKinney is an absolutely amazing organization that connects non-profit organizations with volunteers....and much more. Volunteer McKinney is such a valuable asset to our community...hosting events like Summit on Youth, Party in the Park for North Texas Giving Day, Make-A-Difference Day, Spirit of McKinney awards...and much more. Volunteer McKinney helps to make McKinney an incredible place to call "home". Very proud to be a part of this organization.
I am blown away by Volunteer McKinney's commitment and enthusiasm for the community that they serve! I am the Executive Director of a small Christian nonprofit local to Volunteer McKinney. They are so passionate about helping other nonprofits--even to a self-sacrificing level. Dana and the team at Volunteer McKinney have been so welcoming and encouraging to their neighboring nonprofit community. They have provided resources and opportunities to me and my organization that have been supremely beneficial to us. We count them as dear friends and allies that we can't picture journeying through life without!
What is there not to love about Volunteer McKinney? The first experience I had with them was at an event that would become my favorite annual event - Serve McKinney, which they helped coordinate, and brings nonprofit agencies together to connect with other nonprofits and community leaders and board members. Volunteer McKinney exemplifies the best of nonprofit leadership, fostering and cultivating community and championing the mission of the various nonprofits and community based organizations in the area. They truly go above and beyond in helping volunteers, advocating for volunteer management, and embodying servant leadership. I can't say enough about the organization or how they have impacted my life.
Volunteer Mckinney is an extraordinary value to our community. A very small team of Dana, Ana, and the board make a big impact in connecting charitable organizations with each other, the city, and volunteers. They aggressively go after addressing needs on a personal basis. They are "go to".
I am the Director of Programs for a small, child welfare non-profit organization serving McKinney and the Collin County area. When we set up shop in McKinney we were encouraged by many other non-profits to connect with Volunteer McKinney. I assumed they would be helpful in filling our volunteer needs (which they are), but they are so much more. Their training workshops are an incredible resource to help develop our staff. These workshops are low-cost and sometimes free to attend. Volunteer McKinney has alerted us to grant opportunities in the community as well as local events and resources to aide our non-profit's growth and success. The quality and commitment of volunteers who come through Volunteer McKinney is unparalleled. Volunteer McKinney has helped me become a better volunteer coordinator. Volunteer McKinney is an incredible asset to the citizens and non-profits in McKinney.

Our small non-profit turned to Volunteer Mckinney 4 years ago for help with recruiting and managing volunteers to fuel our programs. We had no idea at the time what an incredible resource VM would turn out to be. We've attended several educational workshops that have helped us better understand volunteerism and leadership. Dana Riley has worked with us one on one to better serve the community. This will be our fourth year participating in Make a Difference Day in McKinney with Volunteer Mckinney. Additionally, we've been able to network with other local non-profits we've met at Volunteer Mckinney events. I am grateful for the support, encouragement and practical aid we've received from Volunteer McKinney. With the help of local volunteers we've been able to extend the bandwidth of our staff to better serve the community. Volunteer McKinney is an amazing asset to our city and residents.
Volunteer McKinney provides excellent training to area nonprofits and organizations on a wide variety of topics. Training is always professional and on target with our current needs. Their website offers a great FREE service to area agencies. They really do an excellent job of connecting volunteers to agencies but also keeping the agencies in mind.
Volunteer McKinney connects the generous spirit of the #1 Place to live in America! Looking to get involved? Their site and Executive Director make it easy.
Volunteer Mckinney is a fabulous resource for those looking for volunteer opportunities. Though Volunteer Mckinney, I was able to get connected with Embrace Ministry and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience as a volunteer admin assistant with them.
There are so many volunteer opportunities in Mckinney and I would encourage anyone looking to get plugged in to start by checking out Volunteer Mckinney!
As the Development Director of a nonprofit served by Volunteer McKinney, I am so thankful for this organization! Dana and team helped organize an effective and fun North Texas Giving Day event in historic downtown McKinney. Nonprofits from the area were able to join together to create a fun atmosphere of philanthropy thanks to Volunteer McKinney's leadership. I would highly recommend working with this organization for all of your volunteer needs!
Working with Volunteer McKinney has truly been a pleasure. Dana Reilly does a great job putting this together. It's a daunting task to work with so many non-profits and charitable organizations. It's even more daunting to keep them together and to organize.
The Website is fantastic too. It's meaty (full of content) and also easy to navigate. If I am looking for an opportunity, I can easily find it.
I love Volunteer McKinney and everything they stand for!
Volunteer McKinney has been instrumental in supporting our clinic for many years and providing us with trustworthy and dedicated volunteers. Their services helps our communities and they give volunteers a rewarding experience.
Volunteer McKinney provides a GREAT resource to our community! Dana and her staff are amazing, organized, and do all the leg work to help make your event great and fill a huge need. If you have not used them you are missing out on a wonderful experience!
Volunteer McKinney is a great place to start for anyone looking for an organization to serve. Volunteer McKinney makes it easy to find a host of organizations and their specific needs which allows citizens to be matched up perfectly with the skills they have to offer. Volunteer McKinney hosts make a difference day to allow McKinney residents to get out and make a difference as well as experience the opportunities available for them to serve. I took a plunge on Make A Difference Day with Main Gait Therapeutic Horse Training and loved it. I signed up and served during the spring session as a side walker. The experience was amazing and I learned so much in my time volunteering. The Main Gate Staff were extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient to train me. I definitely plan to volunteer for another upcoming session. Serving in our community starts with you and Volunteer McKinney will point you in the right direction. Nita Lucassen
This center does amazing work. I am a high school counselor and our students are so grateful for the help getting placed with amazing opportunities in the community.
I was honored to help with this year's McKinney Summit on Youth hosted by Volunteer McKinney. What an amazing resource this is to the people who work with at-risk youth. These children will benefit from a community who embrace and empower them from the knowledge that is shared during this day of collaboration.
Volunteer McKinney goes above and beyond being a resource for other nonprofits - they are making a real difference!
As program director for the Collin County Medical Reserve Corps, I have found Volunteer McKinney to be a powerful partner in achieving our mission. Volunteer McKinney has provided us with opportunities to recruit, train and recognize our volunteers. All three are vital to the success of any nonprofit and with Volunteer McKinney's support I have been able to do more with less. Thank you Volunteer McKinney and Dana Riley for all your support to our mission and our volunteers. I look forward to many more years partnering together to build our resources.
