Mission: The mission of voices of hope is to positively impact the child welfare system by providing professionals and leaders with unique opportunities to network, develop, and transform themselves, their organizations, and their service delivery systems. Voices of hope strives to serve, mobilize, and foster awareness of child abuse, neglect, and family breakdown through education and training, advocacy and intervention, public awareness and prevention strategies, and the effective delivery of critical human services.
Programs: *participated in 2014 florida department of children & families statewide judicial dependency summit*helped plan and participated in discussions during palm beach county circuit 15 breakout sessions dcf dependency summit 2014*participated in legislative policy sub-committee discussion regarding victims of domestic minor sex trafficking in florida*participated in development and launch of safe house operations plans and protocols for victims of dmst*participated year-round in key committee membership roles with center for empowerment independent living services committee (for youth aging out of foster care) development of transitional housing and support services inventory and strategic plans for system capacity increases. *directly supported new creation missionary baptist churchs inner-city youth development program seeds of hope in efforts to reach at-risk youth in targeted west palm beach neighborhoods. Provided programming support, planning, and material support via clothing, food, activities and technical assistance. *continued local auto donation program and protocol for utilizing private funding sources for the purchase of safe and reliable transportation for emancipated foster and other homeless youth. This program links donors and donor institutions with qualified youth who are ready for this next level of responsibility and will benefit from the ability to travel for work purposes and educational attainment primarily. *provided on-going support to the heart gallery of palm beach county (promotion of foster care/child welfare adoptions) circuit 15. *provided (via networking of local businesses and donors) free tickets to sporting and other entertainment events for children in circuit 15 foster care and emancipated foster youth (year-round). *produced and promoted the annual regional voices of hope celebrating our community heroes 2014 conference and awards ceremony *provided 2014 voices of hope awards. *participated in florida childrens coalition advocacy efforts
