Programs: Viridiant, with its partners, has delivered the earthcraft house and earthcraft multifamily programs for the last 12 years, ensuring 21,000 individuals and families live in sustainable, affordable housing and improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings. In 2017, viridiant helped put 2,236 families into homes that are more affordable, more livable, and more durable. That equals 6. 2 gwh hours of energy and over $1 million saved - each year. We worked with 145 builders, developers, and architects delivering high-performance housing welcomed 5 new single-family builders, trained 70 industry colleagues at our building professional training, and networked with 240 friends at our sustainable leadership awards program and earth day 5k. Viridiant provides education and technical support throughout the design-build process to enable building partners, including builders,developers and many nonprofit and housing authorities, to learn how to build sustainable, energy-efficient construction affordably; residents experience healthier homes that are cost effective to operate; and communities are enhanced with attractive, durable housing.
