Programs: Annual vk5k race for vinny's kids. A 5k walk/run is the major annual fundraiser. The vk5k committee is composed of 22 individuals from the local business community who plan the event. Event day volunteers number approximately 100. Begun in 2008 with 375 participants, the event has continued growth in 2013.

vki annually provides "entertainment" for children with chronic or terminal illness and/or disability. Camp victory: vki purchases tvs, dvd/vhs players, videotapes, dvds, cds, games, toys, life vests, swimming pool items, camping gear, climbing wall holds and helmets, bike helmets, archery equipment, arts and crafts supplies, and other items. Camp echo: vki provides the majority of the supplies needed for campers: games, toys, dvds, puzzles, prizes, gift cards, arts and crafts supplies, themed party decorations and items, books, and other items. Camp star: vki provides bicycle helmets for all campers, camp survival goodie bags, snack bags, t-shirts, prizes for games and sporting competitions and other items. Camp setabaid: vki provides camp survival goodie bags, snack bags, t-shirts, and other items. For each of these camps vki has underwritten tuition costs for individual campers who cannot afford to attend without financial assistance. Pinnacle health's harrisburg hospital pediatric unit. Throughout the year, vki purchases needed items for the hospital pediatric unit. Hospital items include laptops, stuffed animals, games, toys, books, electronic games, dvds and videotapes, cds and portable cd players, baby rattles, books, coloring books, crayons, markers, arts and crafts, puzzles and other entertainment items appropriate for hospitalized children. Penn state hershey rehabilitation hospital: in december 2011, vki established a vinny's kids activities room at the penn state hershey rehabilitation hospital. This room will function like the activities room at the pinnacle health's room providing entertainment items appropriate for hospitalized children such as stuffed animals, games, dvds, coloring books and crayons, puzzles, arts and crafts, electronics, and other items of a similar nature.
