Programs: Village Theatre's Mainstage Season consists of five shows that run from September through July. The Mainstage production musicals are drawn from both familiar repertoire and deserving, less-produced works, as well as premiers of new musicals. Village Originals is a nationally recognized program that is dedicated to every aspect of supporting new musicals. To date the program has worked on over 150 new works through numerous readings, workshops, and developmental productions. During the 2016-2017 season, Village Theatre will expand upon its long-standing commitment to new musicals by launching three promising new works into the next phase of development. Village Originals New Developmental Production Series, the Beta Series, will feature three new works performed in off-book, staged performances in 15 performances over a three-week period, for a total of 45 performances. Village Theatre's extensive and acclaimed Youth Education programs serve over 60,000 young people and families annually. KIDSTAGE offers performance and technical theatre training; and classes, camps, and productions for ages 3-20. Village Theatre is the largest fully producing theatre in the Pacific Northwest, with more than 19,300 subscribers and 110,000 single ticket holders; and youth education programs that serve more than 60,000 young people and their families annually. Service locations: Village Theatre owns three buildings: the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre, the 1913 First Stage Theatre, and the Craig and Joan Watjen Technical Studios, all in Issaquah. Village Theatre plans to create a new production warehouse facility in the vacant lot adjacent to the Craig and Joan Watjen Technical Studios in Issaquah. To achieve efficient operations, Village Theatre has, since 1998, collaborated with the City of Everett to both manage and serve as the resident performing company at the Everett Performing Arts Center and the Cope Gillette Theatre (formerly called Second Stage).
