Mission: Victims to victory is a faith based non-profit organization that offers counseling, advocacy, and support services to victims of violent crime, especially those victimized by homicide. The mission is carried out through direct services, community education, training, community collaberation, and partnerships.
Programs: *victims to victory provided direct services to 224 crime victims, 69% or 154 were family members of homicide victims. *16% or 35 were victims of domestic abuse. *community education and training reached 1757 individuals in-person and additionally thousands through tv, radio and social media (facebook) broadcast. *assisted 158 individuals with victim compensation information and filing to lessen the financial impact of crime. *helped 34 homicide victim family members through the criminal court process providing support and advocacy. *delivered emotional support through crisis counseling with 74 victims. *identified services and provided phone support to 120. *provided homicide loss and domestic violence support group sessions to improve coping skills of 49 survivors * engaged 27 survivor victims in intensive therapy to address crime-related trauma * provided emotional and spiritual support to 300 + family members of homicide victims through the annual hope and remembrance candlelight service. *45 volunteers contributed an estimated 250 hours of service.
