Mission: To provide temporary facilities for necessities of life and for re-entry as a productive member of society, for both the employable homeless adult and his/her family.
Programs: Provide emergency shelter, meals, substance abuse and mental health referral assistance to homeless or at risk of becoming homeless families with dependent children and a limited number of single individuals. Referrals to appropriate agencies are provided. During the year 307 persons were sheltered. 62% were families and 114 of the 307 were children. The average stay was 37 days. 48% of the persons left with an income; 84% left for permanent housing; 73% were from this area; 65% were homeless for the first time. We also served 42,623 meals at the shelter, a average of 3,551 meals a month with the last month's meals served 3,104 and the highest month meals served was 4,701.
