Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Education, Secondary & High Schools

Mission: Valley Lutheran High School, founded in 1977, offers an excellent high school education in a Lutheran Christian environment. A teaching staff of 23 is well prepared to meet the educational needs of the student body. There is a strong emphasis on spiritual issues as well. Students participate in a daily chapel, take a daily religion course, and prayer is a natural part of the school day.

Although primarily a college preparatory school, Valley Lutheran also seeks to meet the needs of students planning a different career path. Students have access to career programs through the Saginaw Career Center, which offers over 25 career courses.

Valley Lutheran offers a well-rounded extracurricular program. Students may participate in music, drama, and athletic events. The school has a gymnasium, outdoor stadium for soccer and football, an all-weather track, baseball field, softball field, plus numerous practice fields.
