Am a professional in Community Development specifically in Social Work. There is nothing as fulfilling as seeing direct impacts to community members when they come together and identify their problems, prioritize on the pressing ones and come up with strategies to overcome them. I have mobilized and trained over 70 community Self help groups to work on their projects. I have also facilitate community groups to come up with work plans and frequently monitored the implementation of the planned activities. UDO has perfected the art of working with communities and recognizing the potential with members in providing solutions to their water problems. through the sand dam holistic approach technology communities have safe water at close distances and are utilizing the time saved in more viable activities that help improve on food security at family level. My experience with UDO over the last 5 years has been very fulfilling with a lot of grass root activities that can not be quantified in a single report. This has improved my reporting skills as i now focus on case study reporting which has greater impact. Its amazing to see the changes happening at peoples lives by providing water for communities.

I've been lucky to work with this organization for over 4 months and everyday I was with them was inspiring. I am a civil engineer from Ohio and was able to lend my expertise to them. I worked on building dams, testing water quality and talking to community members about the effects among other things. I felt increasingly positive through out my time with Utooni
