Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: This corporation has been formed for charitable purpose, to raise awareness of the general public of the sacrifices and dedication of troops of all branches of the united states military by supporting active duty service members and their families, veterans and their families, families that have lost someone in combat and/or related circumstances.
Programs: We held 20 troop box packing events at various places and in several different cities, involving the public in donating items, money and labor to prepare care packages that we mailed to our active duty military, primarily those who are deployed but also to some serving stateside. The events served to inform those attending of the services and sacrifices of our troops. The care packages sent raised the level of morale of our troops, and their families by showing them there is a community that cares. We had four information booths where we provided promotional items to the general public. We informed the public of our mission. We encouraged the public to write leters and cards for our military personnel. Cards and letters were later included in our care packages. We held a volunteer appreciation/fundraiser at the stockton heat hockey for our dedicated volunteers, expressing our thanks for their support of our military. It also served as an additonal avenue of sharing with all who participated in the event about our military and how we support them. We received recognition and support from the kiwanis at their night of giving. We provided assistance to family members of fallen military by facititating support groups and participating in welcoming home fallen soldier. We assisted veterans and active duty military in need with monetary gifts , flags, debt relief and other items needed. We spruced up veterans graves at local cemeteries. We volunteered with the red cross at their operation care package event, and received donations and supplies. We supported and recognized students in the jrotc, local veterans serving as law enforcement and fire personnel. We were supported by and worked with local community groups and businesses. We participated and supported two of our local national guard units at their deployment ceremonies and we continue to support them by sending care packages and being available to thefamilies if they need help.
