Mission: The mission of the urban league of nebraska is to be an empowering voice in the community advocating for economic self-reliance, parity, power, civil rights and equal opportunity for all (see schedule o). The vision of the urban league of nebraska is to lead nebraska in closing the social economic gap in the african american, other emerging ethnic communities and disadvantaged families in the achievement of social equality and economic independence and growth.
Programs: Economic empowerment program accomplishes career counseling, resume writing assistance, online job search with computer access, and a job bank.
education and youth: u-yes program incorporates three major components for youth to achieve success: education, employment, and civic engagement. Urban league of nebraska offers a variety of educational programs and assistance with scholarships.
health and quality of life program focus on empowering people to make healthy, positive decisions.
