Mission: Urban hope ministries (urban hope) a faith-based community service center serving the metropolitan area of minneapolis and saint paul, minnesota with a primary focus on servicing and providing holistic human services to the people of north minneapolis. The twenty-first century vision of urban hope is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and families within the urban community "bringing about life changes in the face of adversity. "
Programs: Urban hope ministries assisted over 2,700 individuals in beginning the process of breaking the cycle of poverty and reducing abuse and violence, with development of holistic action plans to guide the implementation of focused goals that connect the "root cause" of their issues / needs identified in the assessment interview. Support groups for adults and youth were maintained. Urban hope also assisted individuals with job skill / work readiness issues, food and clothing.
