Mission: Promote bear hunting with hounds
Programs: Travel to conferences and meetings was paid to educate members on wildlife issues and to further learn about public concerns regarding bear hunting. A banquet was held to raise money for our scholarships and donations. Trophies and plaques were awarded for speakers at events and outstanding members who contributed to the organization's mission.
four scholarships were awarded to area students interested in wildlife conservation in the amount of 500 each. We paid dues to the upper peninsula sportmens's association, michigan bear hunters association and the michigan united conservation club to help support their efforts in hunting and conservation. We donated to the michigan hunting dog federation, michigan legislative sportsmen caucus, michigan sportsmen defense alliance to support the cause of hunting and donated to the national tree dog association to support their training of hunting dogs.

internet and telephone services were paid for to communicate with members regarding upcoming events. Newsletters were printed to inform members regarding wildlife issues and bear hunting. A copier was maintained to print the newsletters.
