Mission: Upmc jameson's mission is as a full-service hospital including educational opportunities in nursing and other health related professions. Upmc jameson provides health and human services to all individuals regardless of their race, color, religious creed, ancestry, union membership, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, aids or hiv status or disability and promotes health by providing quality inpatient and outpatient medical care to our surrounding area.
Programs: Inpatient care - upmc jameson provides inpatient care for all individuals in need who reside within our service area. This includes medical/surgical, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, pediatrics, womens health, critical care and psychiatric care. For fiscal 2017, upmc jameson had 5,520 admissions and 27,550 associated patient days.
outpatient care - upmc jameson provides outpatient care for all individuals in need who reside within our service area. This care includes surgical care, laboratory services, radiology services, rehabilitation services, respiratory, pulmonary, emergency services, clinics and various other services. For fiscal 2017, upmc jameson had 247,470 outpatient visits.
nursing and radiology schools - upmc jameson's school of nursing is a two year diploma program accredited by the national league for nursing accrediting commission and approved by the pennsylvania state board of nursing. The school prepares graduates to sit for their rn licensure exam. Since its founding in 1895, the school has educated 2,577 students. The jameson school of radiography program is a comprehensive 22 month course of study culminating in a certificate in radiologic technology. It provides the student with a high quality, customer service oriented competency based didactic and clinical education. The school has educated 112 students since the school's inception in 2001.
