Mission: The organization is established to provide direct support to the university of north dakota, to receive patents and intellectual property for commercialization, to build and manage research facilities and to facilitate research, to advance intellectual property, to develop products and to advance education and research.
Programs: Support the research and educational mission of the university of north dakota by raising funds to support research by and for the university and to assist and support technology transfer to the public market. The foundation manages a research facility that includes offices, laboratory facilities (including bsl-2 and bsl-3 level laboratories), and pilot plant operations. This research facility is used to serve as a conduit between the university of north dakota, public and private research efforts for educational and research purposes. The foundation has also continued research and preliminary testing of west nile virus antibodies, as a partner of avianax llc. The foundation received intellectual property for the university of north dakota under the bayh-dole act.
