Mission: Robinson health sytem, inc. D/b/a robinson memorial hospital ("robinson") was founded in 1917 and preserves a legacy of being the only hospital located in portage county. Robinson is dedicated to serving residents of portage county and surrounding communities. Its services and programs continue a long-standing tradition of providing patient-focused, superior-quality health care. The mission of robinson is to provide high quality, caring and cost effective services; to inspire staff to exceed the expectations of our patients and their families; and to achieve financial results to ensure its continued success.
Programs: Commitment to the community is at the core of robinson's mission. In 2014, robinson dedicated more than $4. 4 million to community benefit programs: - charity care = $1. 2 million - medicaid shortfall = $3. 2 million - community health improvement services, programs and support = $0. 9 million - hospital care assurance program (hcap) receipts = ($1. 0 million). Community benefit for 2014 totaled $4. 4 million. Robinson is portage county's second largest employer and provides work directly for more than 1,000 employees and physicians. Robinson is proud to contribute to the health of the citizens within its community and to be an economic contributor to the region.
