Mission: To increase the organized capacity of the community to care for its people.
Results: We touch the lives of one out of every three individuals in Volusia and Flagler Counties through our Funded Partner Agencies. The Volunteer Center annually connects and honors local volunteers. 211/First Call for Help connects individuals to local area services
Target demographics: Low income, underserved populations – migrant community – veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq wars – early child development - seniors and disabled.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 66 funded programs through 37 Partner Agencies providing services to more than 188,000 residents in our two-county area.
Geographic areas served: Volusia and Flagler County Florida which includes: Daytona Beach, DeLand, Deltona, Palm Coast, Bunnell, Flagler Beach, Port Orange
Programs: Supports more than 60 programs through 37 Partner Agencies. In addition internal programs include: Volunteer Center, 211/First Call for Help, Community Foundation of Volusia & Flagler, Food Brings Hope, Free Tax Preparation through Campaign for Working Families, FamilyWize Prescription Drug Program, BrAIve Fund for Veterans, Assets for Independence and much more.
I've been volunteering with the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties for more than 3 years and couldn't be happier. The staff and other volunteers are always fantastic and such a joy to work with. The Daytona 5K is always a fun event. It felt amazing to know that I was about to help do such good work and change so many people's lives.
