Programs: Hosted the first ever donald w. Mccarthy heartland leadership forum in april. The purpose of the heartland leadership forum is to bring a top-level national security or foreign policy expert to the twin cities to address our community's business, academic, and political leaders. Our belief is that by informing our leaders about issues of national importance, these leaders will be able to make better strategic decisions for their companies, in the academic world, and even regarding our public policy decisions. Last year we focused on cyber and its impact on national security, economic security, and many related topics. This is a public event that draws 250+ people (usna alums, local business leaders, and others interested).
