The U.S. Lightship Museum (USLM) owns Nantucket Lightship/LV-112, a National Historic Landmark and National Treasure. I applaud their perseverance and challenging efforts for helping to rescue a very important historic United States maritime treasure. The USLM is comprised entirely of volunteers and is restoring/preserving LV-112 to reopen as a museum and floating learning center, for the general public (especially underserved and at risk youths) to learn from and enjoy.

The USLM started LV-112's restoration in 2010 and has made remarkable progress. They have completed 50% of the famous ship's restoration with the assistance of professional shipyard contractors. The faster they can raise funding from donors, the faster they can complete their restoration goals. Moreover, this is a very worthy cause to support and I am glad that I can help.
