Mission: The United States Blind Golf Association (USBGA) was established in 1953 for the purpose of encouraging and enhancing opportunities for blind and visually impaired golfers to compete in the game of golf.
Target demographics: Blind and Visually Impaired youth and adults
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 350 youth and adults to learn and compete in the game of golf.
Geographic areas served: All over the United States of America
Programs: For more than six decades the USBGA has encouraged and enhanced opportunities for blind and visually impaired adults and youth to learn and compete in the game of golf. Our association sponsors clinics for blind and visually impaired youth throughout the country, with assistance from various First Tee Programs. Full membership for the USBGA is open to men and women who meet specific sets of sight guidelines, ranging from no vision to legal blindness. For our members, we conduct several regional tournaments and a National Championship and Blind Open Tournament each year.
