Causes: Mental Health, Residential Mental Health Treatment
Mission: United methodist social services exists to meet the needs of the people of the eastern sierra that are not met by existing social structures.
Programs: Ran a state licensed alzheimer's adult day care 2 days a week and provided counseling and support for caregivers; through the soup kitchen fed about 85 three days a week and offered showers to about 15 persons on those days; through recovery & re-entry provided housing, support, and counseling for person's in drug court and re-entry court for ab 109 individuals recently released from jail, maintained and improved the community garden offering education and a place for people to grow food through a mou with the city of bishop allowing for the use of space at the city park.
