Results: Unbridled Hope has made such a difference in the life of our 7-year-old. Alivia was born with Cerebral Palsy, which affects the use of her left limbs, her vision, and her speech, as well as ADHD, traits of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and has a hard time expressing her emotions. Because of these challenges, she goes to 5 different therapy appointments throughout the week. So, when I first heard of Therapeutic Riding, I didn’t want to add one more thing. I AM SO GLAD WE DID! This is now my top priority when it comes to therapy. It has not only helped her to use her left arm and leg, she is talking more clearly, and has been able to stay calm and focus most of the time in the arena. She has become so loving towards “her horse.” Alivia has taken up the initiative to be more helpful around the house, and we have also noticed a difference in how she interacts with her siblings. Unbridled Hope doesn’t just put the clients on a horse and let them ride, but they are expected to groom, feed, clean up after, and do all of the additional groundwork it takes for them to build a lasting relationship with these amazing animals. Joanna studied and trained for countless hours (and continue to do so), to keep up on the latest techniques and ways to stay ahead of what that individual needs in each session. We are so grateful for the time and commitment they put into making this a fantastic program for everyone involved. Joanna is so gifted as a therapist. Partnering with the horses, she is able to do therapy in a way that a traditional play therapy office was not for our daughter. The horses are so intuitive and hold a pivotal role in the therapy. I am constantly amazed at what Unbridled Hope has done for my family and so many others that are lucky enough to get to do therapy there.
