I never had a good experience with this Union. It's like a waste of money! The union didn't protect me when I was unlawfully terminated from Gelson's.
I also noticed that my union agent didn't like to read emails I sent to clarify my story. As if it's an extra work for her. Hence I was neglected.
I'm going to take measures against Gelson's company all on my own without Local 1442.
I was told by my former coworkers that this union never helped them either and when people loose their job, they don't unite with other workers who lost jobs, that's why it's easier to get rid of workers one by one. Because victims don't network with each other.
I don't recommend supporting this organization, and will be against it's continuation. In our informational age, we DON'T NEED UNIONS!!!
