Mission: Youth from poor communities in Kolkata have few economic opportunities. Ability and hard work will not necessarily bring success or financial gain because connections are the usual way to get a good job. They have inadequate education that only teaches them how to memorize and parrot back mostly useless and outdated facts. They are not taught to think creatively, solve problems or work independently. These young people are constantly kept outside the mainstream job market by their low place in the social hierarchy that is instantly identifiable by their name alone.
