Causes: Local Benevolent Life Insurance Associations
Mission: To divert water from the mountains and transport it through a system of canals and pipes to three small storage reservoirs. Water is then diverted during the summer from these reservoirs into feeder canals. They carried the water to various headgates & pumping stations located along two canals about 15 miles long. Farmers use this water to irrigate their crops. Without this water, the land would be dry farm land & would not produce very many crops.
