Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Children & Youth, Children & Youth Services, Community Improvement & Capacity Building, Foster Care, Human Services

True Passion's goal is to provide recognition, encouragement, mentoring, and cash assistance to those in the foster care system and those in need in our community.

True Passion will inform the general public of current and in particular children needing foster care placement, and  to encourage communities to recognize foster parents for helping children in need of secure homes, by recognizing May as National Foster Care Month.

We will bring Community awareness to "aged out" of foster care teens.  Recruit and maintain respite care providers (as they become known).

We believe that the more people come together and get involved, the better are our chances in succeeding.

Geographic areas served: Alameda County & Solano County

This non profit is a fraud! They don't help anyone and they don't do anything that they say they do.

Hello Friends,

I am happy to announce that Christmas Come True has finally found a little home to work out of instead of my guest bedroom. I would love to take this opportunity to tell you about it.

As you probably know, Christmas Come True is a non-profit organization, who for the past 2 years has helped Flagler County families by providing Christmas dinner, new clothes, gifts and filled Christmas stockings. This past Christmas we were able to help 86 families and 255 children.

We would like to extend our help by starting the second part of our mission, “A Frame of Mind”. It is more than just an office, it will be a center where I will be planning the events for Christmas Come True. It is where I will collect and disburse all the information about other non-profits in Flagler County that are helping the community. “A Frame of Mind” will offer classes in Art, “how to do” and “how to fix” workshops. Eventually we hope to add counseling services and much more. “A Frame of Mind” will be a think tank to explore new ways to save money, get a job or start a new business.

In addition to all of the above, “A Frame of Mind” is a retail store offering the works of local artisans and promoting local authors with book signings. I will also carry Stonewall Kitchen Specialty Foods, an incredibly good line of food and home products - I am proud to say this is my step-son’s wonderful business. We are so excited to have the opportunity to help local artisans and authors and as a bonus each sale helps us raise money to help families in Flagler County.

We want to be a welcomed addition to historic downtown Flagler Beach. “A Frame of Mind” is located at 208 B South Central Avenue. (across from City Hall and The Flagler Beach Historical Museum) We are a brightly colored building that houses Gallery of Local Art and Bahama Mama’s. If you are in the area please come by for a peek.

I look forward to sharing the news of our success and my visions of what this little center can do to help the families of Flagler County.
