Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Employment Preparation & Procurement, Job Training
Mission: True Light Center Corp. is a non-profit organization. We advocate for those who have a voice, but are very often, not heard. We empower veterans, visually impaired, hearing impaired, and individuals with various other disabilities. We provide useful skills such as preparing a resumé, learning braille, learning sign language and career placement to improve their quality of life. Our goal is to raise money to hire staff for continuous education and to afford a facility to provide the adequate training needed by each individual we help.
Results: We have interviewed, guided and helped 12 candidates thus far and are looking to continue to this momentum throughout the year. Our Goal without donations throughout this year is to find 30-50 candidates wanting employment and train them and place them in a career that will fulfill that desire to work and feel "normal". Should we receive substantial donations we would like to increase that number by not only finding jobs for these individuals but opening a call center where we can personally hire them ourselves. Due to lack of funds and space this is not a possibility.
