Mission: True freedom ministries is an independent, evangelical, non-profit organization dedicated to reaching those locked behind steel doors in jail and prisons all across ohio, those trapped in homelessness on the street, those abandoned in nursing homes all across northeast ohio, and those shackled in addictions with the message of the true freedom that is found only in jesus christ.
Programs: Reformer's unanimous - reformers unanimous is a christ-centered addiction recovery program that uses a unique christian approach to equip addicts with the lifelong skills that break addictions. 3,007 the organization's clients attended this programs on thursday nights. Alpha course - the alpha course introduces the basics of christianity common to most christians. This curriculum has been used all over the world; by many different christian denominations; and in a variety of settings, from churches, to schools, to prisons. Three hundred inmates were enrolled in the alpha course in 2017. Microsoft office - 377 inmates have graduated our microsoft office specialist program. Character development class - this faith neutral curriculum lasts 40 weeks and is based on the book of proverbs. 50 were enrolled in this class in 2017. Mentoring program - true freedom conducts a mentoring class every month at grafton correctional institution. This program helps to prepare our clients for reentry as inmates are assigned a mentor while incarcerated and once released. 1,920 inmates attended in 2017.
