I have not personally used their services, however, I have heard many great things about this organization from individuals in Cuyahoga county and even surrounding counties.

I am a current employee of Providence House, and I am beyond proud to be able to say so. I was drawn to work with Providence House because of its commitment to creating equitable change and supporting the children and families in Greater Cleveland. I have been continually impressed by the dedication that Providence House has to providing services in the community and innovating services to better serve and honor its clients.

Not only is Providence House committed to growing to fit the needs of the community, but its staff and leaders are also actively seeking opportunities to advance conversations around equity, address misconceptions around its services and clients, and to serve as a leader for systemic change.

Providence House is an amazing place that is truly one of a kind. The staff who work with the children and families provide the much-needed support during times of crisis when there seems to be nowhere else to turn. They provide a loving home-like environment for the children who are staying there – planning fun and educational activities to help the children adapt and feel comfortable. They provide support, resources, and services to caregivers and ensure that regular visits with the children occur so that the children don’t feel abandoned while staying there. They are an amazing asset to the Cleveland community.

I have worked for Providence House for going on 3 years and have been amazed by the hard work, dedication, and team work that my colleagues display on a daily basis. Everyone is mission-oriented and does a great job of keeping their work in line with our organization's vision, to keep kids safe and families together. I'm thankful for what Providence House does in our community and even more thankful that I get to be a part of it on a daily basis!

I believed in their mission when they began and donated what I could with the intention of volunteering when I retired. I began volunteering in 2014 and have enjoyed every moment. We are required to have the same amount of training hours as the staff and I have learned so much from the training. Every hour is worthwhile and I have learned so much. The staff is great and Natalie is amazing. I love the children and love the fact that the parents trust Providence house to care for their children while they get things figured out.

I have been a supporter of Providence House since I first learned of their mission almost 20 years ago. I began volunteering about 5 years ago and am proud to be a part of an organization that cares for families. I have so much respect for the parents making some hard decisions in order to keep their children safe and for the staff that encourages the families by being supportive and nonjudgmental.

A friend of mine is one of the many amazing social workers that work for Providence House. Through her, my eyes have been opened to all of the incredible ways that they serve the underprivileged women and children of our community. I am a firsthand witness to the lengths they go to for those that they serve. Please consider contributing to this wonderful nonprofit organization.

As a volunteer I have an opportunity to see a child come to Providence House from beginning to leaving. Initially most children are unsure of themselves and quiet. During their time whether weeks or months, I see how they blossom. Routine, manners, sharing, meeting new people bring out the best in these wonderful children. Sleep schedule, being considerate of others, not leaving the table until all others are finished, cleaning up and of course the endless fun allow these children the security of place and routine. The attention and affection given by the staff astounds me. Everyone pays attention to the smallest needs with such energy. As they leave and bounce into Mom's arms again they are stronger more secure children and Mom smiles more confidently.

PH provides unique and invaluable services to the community, without which hundreds of Cleveland families per year would dissolve and foster care enrollment would be even higher than it already is. To support their overall mission of taking care of children and families in their greatest hour of need, PH looks for volunteers and donors across the greater Cleveland area—and regularly finds an willing audience, inspired not only by the mission but also by dedication to it demonstrated by PH employees. Quite frankly, certain areas of Cleveland would look much different were it not for the services PH provides.

The dedication Providence House shows to families is like no other, from the care given to children of parents in crisis, to the support and respect shown to those parents as staff help them get the services they need. This is why the family reunification rate is 98%. I’ve never seen a more mission-driven and effective organization.

Providence House is a wonderful organization to be part, I am on their associate board. The House direct members are extremely on top of their roles, know their organization, and are great at bringing in outsiders like myself into the role of awareness spreading. As for the actually organization, the recognition and support from around the city of Cleveland is strong. The brand it self is just known as a very proud organization and what they do to save families and even lives of the children is excellent. Seen through their growth lately, the future of Providence House is going to be strong and this is all from the great efforts.

I've been acquainted with Providence House for several years and am continually impressed with the high quality assistance they provide to families in need in Northeast Ohio. What started as a crisis care nursery has turned into a comprehensive program to keep children safe and families intact. Parents are given the skills they need to be successful parents, while their children are nurtured and loved in a caring environment. God bless Providence House for all it does for our children!

The group has a long history of facilitating widespread change by helping individual families in a personable, relational manner. The House’s targeted approach has a ripple effect throughout the entire community that cannot be quantified.

Providence House has been improving lives, and improving the community, for over 3 decades. By intervening for children when they are at their most vulnerable, Providence House fosters healthy, productive, contributing members of society who can go on to touch other people's lives in positive ways. Yes, you can count the number of children served at Providence House in a week, a month, a year, or a decade. But the impact on the individual, and the community, is an immeasurable positive.

Providence House has been an inspiration in the community for over the 20 years that I have lived back in Cleveland. They Provide a loving, clean and safe environment for the babies in our communit. What makes them exceptional is the re-unification rate they have with the child and their family. Giving care is half the battle, but, getting the families back together and on a positive course is what makes this organization so very special!

The minute I first walked in to the Providence House, I was touched by their mission to help children and families in crisis. I had heard of the Providence House, and the wonderful ways in which they help families, but once I walked in the door and met some of the children they were helping, I immediately wanted to help, too! It did not take very long to realize how passionate the staff is about their mission, and hard hard they work to accomplish that goal. Perhaps even more touching has been the people that I have met who have received services from the PH and came back to give because of what the PH meant to them during their crisis. The PH is a leader in their field, and in many ways trailblazing a path forward for the future of children and their families.

As a resident of Cuyahoga County, I am comforted that an organization such as Providence House exists to provide emergency shelter and care to children who are actively at risk for abuse and neglect due to family crisis. As a board member of Providence House, I am even more proud that I can work beside committed and dedicated people, whom want their community's children to always feel safe and secure. From the first day that I saw PH's awesome work, I became a believer. Now I work beside Providence House leadership to protect children, empower families, and build community.

The unique mission and purpose of Providence House was difficult for me to understand at first because I'd never seen or heard of a Crisis Nursery before. I thought to myself "well how is this different from Foster care?" It took one visit for me to understand. Seeing the kids in an environment that felt like home with caretakers they were comfortable with was honestly moving. Providence House is meeting the needs of a population and a community for which there are few alternatives. These are regular people who've sometimes just hit a rough patch. People who care about their children but recognize they need to get back up on their feet to adequately care for them. Not to mention the staff and volunteers are passionate about what they do and a pleasure to work with...always appreciative and outgoing. The more time I spend with this organization, the more time I WANT to spend here. I never thought I'd be this involved in a non-profit and yet I've joined the PHriends Group (a Young Professional's Associate board) and countless committees because it's the kind of place where you can see the impact you're making.

Providence House is a leader not only in their industry, but in the nonprofit field. Under strong leadership from the leadership team and the board, Providence House has built a solid, sustainable organization that communicates its role in the community strongly, works well with community partners, and takes on challenges. Providence House has served the Greater Northeast Ohio community for over 30 years and has continued to evolve as an organization that has a solid foundation for the future.

For over 30 years Providence House has been providing an invaluable service to the children, families and community they serve. The team's outstanding care and dedication is seen everyday, but just as impressive is the their focus and drive to continuously improve the organization so that they can improve the lives of those they help. The team is driven by their mission of protecting children, empowering families and improving the community. Fulfilling that mission is seen through something as daunting as helping a parent cope with substance abuse to one of life's little pleasures like a birthday cake for a child that has never had one. Outstanding organization run by an outstanding staff and group of volunteers.
