I volunteered with Triune Holistic Ministries at their annual Healthy holiday Party, now in its 3rd year- the healthy holiday party partners with a large family shelter to provide free health screenings, toys, counseling, and various other workshops to families living in the shelter- this year it was held at BronxWorks on Nelson Avenue- I was blown away by what they provided to the families- a slightly used clothing store- toy store and gift wrapping- hair , makeup, and haircuts to the parent's, a clown and arts and crafts for the children, along with HIV, dental, blood/glucose screenings, all to promote health and wellness. I will volunteer again next year/
