Causes: Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention
Mission: In 2017 trilogy recovery community adopted a new organizational logo, updated its mission and vision statement, and adopted 4 core values and statements. In addition, trilogy updated the organizations website (www. Trilogyrecovery. Org). (see continuation on schedule o). Mission statement: trilogy offers prevention, intervention, support and hope to youth, adults and families on their path of recovery. Vision statement: trilogy's vision is to be recognized in our community as the leader in prevention and recovery. Core values & statements:1) dignity: we foster respectful, courteous, co-equal relationships with those seeking help. 2) compassion: we demonstrate our compassion through empathetic listening, kindness, and acceptance. 3) integrity: we act with transparency, honor confidences, and behave at all times in an honest, ethical manner. 4) hope: we believe that, no matter the challenge, we all have the capacity to improve our lives and our relationships.
Programs: Community prevention and wellness initiative - w2 for drug free youth is a community coalition created as a part of the washington state community prevention & wellness initiative working to prevent use of alcohol and other drugs by our youth by serving as a forum to promote collaboration among multiple sectors of the community, and developing and/or adopting multiple prevention strategies to address the problem of youth substance use in the walla walla community. Trilogy recovery community attended the montly community coalition meetings, and participated in the promotion efforts to the general public.
youth support services - trilogy offers individual and group peer support, individual counseling, employment and volunteer opportunities, education, and advocacy services for youth wanting support in their recovery. In 2017 trilogy served 750 separate individuals and made over 3,500 contact points with the individuals served through our youth, adult and family programing in spanish and english.
school outreach - trilogy's school recovery support coordinator offers peer support, counseling, advocacy, coordination of services and classroom education presentations for students. Trilogy served 10 public and private schools within the walla walla valley in 2017.
latino outreach - trilogy offers services in spanish including parent education classes and support groups offering guidance, skills, and understanding in living with a loved one struggling with substance use and those who have lost someone to the disease of addiction.
