As an academic psychiatrist/psycho-oncologist who has done research and provided clinical care to people with cancer for decades, I am deeply impressed by the compassionate but hard-headed approach Triage Cancer takes to helping with financial stress, which is a major problem in our fragmented health care system. They fill a gap in support that makes life tangibly better for people with cancer and their families. There are many fine support organizations dealing with the emotional aspects of cancer, but little help for these concrete problems that profoundly complicate living with the illness. I admire their dedication and expertise. David Spiegel, M.D., Willson Professor & Association Chair of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University School of Medicine

As an oncologist, Triage Cancer is one of the premier resources for my patients and their families/loved ones to access important patient-friendly information on how to navigate the practical and financial issues surrounding a cancer diagnosis, such as insurance, work concerns, medical decision making/estate planning, finding assistance, and advocating for oneself.

Also, their Financial and Legal Navigation team is an invaluable resource as it is free and confidential to help individuals figure out the next step to take when navigating a practical or financial issue.

So appreciate of all they do for the cancer community and excited to see as they expand beyond cancer b/c this is so important for anyone facing any acute or chronic disease.

As a proud member of Triage Cancer's Scientific Advisory Council, I wish to reaffirm my steadfast commitment to the organization's noble cause. Triage Cancer's resolute mission to educate and empower individuals grappling with cancer and their families remains deeply impressive. The organization's commitment to furnishing evidence-based information, coupled with its tireless advocacy for improved access to care and support, is indeed laudable. Triage Cancer continues to serve as a vital beacon of hope in the field, and I am unwavering in my dedication to our collective endeavor to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Phenomenal resources for patients and caregivers dealing with a cancer diagnosis. I have appreciated their webinars and online content that improves knowledge about insurance, work place accommodations, estate planning etc. This is the part of cancer care that clinicians cannot typically help with and thus Triage Cancer helps fills the gap. These are the resources I direct my patients to access.

I've been a trial lawyer for 40 years, and know way too much about cancer. After a medical and legal cancer crisis for a loved one, I went looking to find other lawyers who understand cancer issues. That search led to the two leaders of Triage Cancer, Joanna Morales and Monica Bryant. Both are lawyers who combine all the key skills: substantive expertise, practical advice, clear communication and continuous excellence. They set the standard for the entire organization, and are by far the most respected and trusted in the nation.

In the complexity of the medical system, those of us with terminal and chronic illness are often lost and confused. We miss deadlines and miss important information because of the side effects of medication. Enter Triage Cancer, with clear and reliable information for patients who need it most. As a terminal cancer patient and a lawyer, I recommend triage to patients all the time.

Triage Cancer provides a wealth of information for cancer patients, their families and care givers on a broad array of issues that impact them following a cancer diagnosis. The online information, including assistance with grappling with financial implications of cancer care to avoid financial toxicity, and a myriad of other legal issues, is accessible and impressively expansive. There is also excellent programming, both online and in person, on many issues of importance. The organization's dedication to assisting people impacted by cancer includes tapping its network for individualized information and support as well. The Triage Cancer team is knowledgeable, responsive, caring, and passionate about helping. I am privileged to get to work to further the important mission of Triage Cancer.

This non-profit has been incredible to be a part of. The wealth of information provided makes a real difference in the life of anyone hit with a cancer diagnosis and their families and caregivers. I am a survivor and struggled to return to work as well and pay my overwhelming medical bills. If I had Triage Cancer in my life then things would have been a lot less stressful for all of us. I had no idea how crippling the financial implications are for many and the rights cancer patients have if it wasn't for Triage Cancer. I recommend everyone get involved and educate themselves on all you need to know to help anyone faced with a chronic disease. I am beyond honored to be a board member and help Triage Cancer grow and thrive.

Triage Cancer goes out of their way to track down information and advice to serve those fighting daily battles with cancer. I have helped answer questions for them when it comes to Social Security Disability, but I see how the members of their organization will search low and high to connect their community member with someone that can truly solve the problem that the person is dealing with. Fighting cancer is hard enough. Triage Cancer helps its constituents solve their various concerns, so a patient can focus on the cancer treatment and not all the other issues that arise when one is dealing with a cancer diagnosis. This nonprofit is truly run by the most compassionate individuals, who all have had personal experiences with the toll that cancer takes on one's life.

I'm continually impressed with the wealth of information and exceptional programming that Triage Cancer offers. Esteemed organizations and companies partner with Triage Cancer to bring unique and critical materials to patients diagnosed with cancer, their families and caregivers. Financial toxicity is real with cancer treatment, bills, etc. Triage Cancer aims to help people avoid undue financial burden by arming people with valuable information regarding insurance, estate planning, workers /disability rights, etc.

I was so overwhelmed with my cancer diagnosis and trying to find my way through treatment, while also trying to keep my job and not go bankrupt. Triage Cancer had a wealth of information in print and video form, and also in person and via webinars. I just started attending as many as I could to get my arms around all the information I needed to know. I attended some of the sessions several times over as there is a lot of details you don't know you need until you are "in the soup"! I have become somewhat of a cancer advocate - trying to assist newly diagnosed people - and I spread the word about the abundant resources at Triage Cancer every chance I get - most recently - last week on an online cancer forum.
