Mission: To develop a society of professional scientists to foster discussion of significant advances in catalysis and related fields.
Programs: The tri-state catalysis society (tscs) organized the north american meeting of the north american catalysis society in the tri-state area in accordance with the schedule of the nacs and in turn with the other local chapters of nacs. Tscs organized the 23rd north american meeting of the nacs in 2013. The meeting took place in louisville, kentucky from june 2-7, 2013. A total of 1,235 scientists from 42 countries participated in this event.
in order to foster discussion of significant advances in catalysis and related fields and to provide opportunities for members to present and discuss their own work in the above fields, the tri-state catalysis society organizes an annual symposium for tscs members in the tri-state area. This one-day meeting typically has 50-100 attendees from the catalysis communities of kentucky, ohio and west virginia. Additional symposia can be organized at the discretion of the board of directors to address specific topics of interest or invite renowned scholars and award winners in the area of catalysis. Because tscs hosted the north american meeting of the north american catalysis society described above, this annual symposium was not held in 2013.
