Mission: We partner locally and innovate globally so that children and families in under-resourced communities access Comprehensive Cleft Care.
Results: Since 1999, we have provided 393,976 treatments to children with cleft and their families. A cleft treatment includes any element of rehabilitative care such as counselling, speech therapy, surgery, orthodontics, dental care and nutritional support. In 2021, we provided assistance to 4,811 at the local level.
Target demographics: Why is Comprehensive Cleft Care (CCC) our rallying cry? Children born with cleft lip and palate deserve support at every step of their journey to a full life at home, at school, and in the community. This comprehensive care starts at the moment a family learns of their child’s condition, addressing fears and unfolding a pathway toward full rehabilitation.
