Programs: Maintain: (1) a historic collection of artifacts; (2) archival records of local businesses, schools and organizations; (3) photograph collection and; (4) a growing research library
host community events (discussion forums, authors' readings, & other multi-media presentations) designed to educate and inspire. Publish quarterly a history journal, the tomales regional history center bulletin, and mail to members, other museums in the area and the shoreline region's schools.
maintain the museum's six permanent exhibits: the miwok people, the pioneers & early settlers, the story of tomales, agriculture then & now, the story of the narrow gauge railroad, and the 103 year old tomales high school's history. There is also a changing exhibit that is maintained.
general operating expenses supporting above programs as well as misc programs (telephone, utilities, security, office expense, building maintenance, etc. )
