It was a blessing for me to find The Ticked Off Foundation during my search for financial help for Lyme treatment. My family and I had gone through our almost $70,000 in savings (we were saving to buy a home) on multiple IV antibiotic and other drug treatments, as well as on handfuls of expensive diagnostic tests and doctor appointments. None of my treatment was covered by my insurance. Overall, the medical system fails people with Lyme disease, but thankfully there are organizations like The Ticked Off Foundation to help us out. If you are struggling financially to afford Nutramedix supplements, I recommend contacting them.

When a debilitating disease takes over your life, isn't covered by insurance, keeps you from working, and empties your bank account, especially if you have no family support, there are very few places you can turn. The Ticked Off Foundation is one of the only, if not the only non-profit that helps adults with Lyme Disease, and its many complicated co-infections. The Ticked Off Foundation is run by kind, knowledgeable people who understand the disease, and do their best to help people who really need it. They were there for me when I was hit really hard from all sides. Just knowing they are out there, gives us a life raft within a devastating storm.

Thank God for Ticked off foundation. I had been undiagnosed by a doctor on Long Island in the 90's and my blood work was equivocal or negative so I could never get treated for Lyme. I’ve been battling chronic Lyme disease for many years. Since Merton Gregg Kirk and the Ticked Off Foundation I have been supported not only financial with discounted protocols and mini grants. Also with medical decisions as to what to do in various situations Gregg has helped guide me. I feel I couldn’t have got this far with the support of the foundation.

When I was diagnosed with Lyme in 2016, I found a lot of doctors didn’t have a clue how to treat it or even believe in longterm Lyme. A couple years later I decided to look at treating by myself. I stumbled upon Ticked Off Foundation and the work that Gregg Kirk does. At the time, it was about the only information I could find in help for adults with Lyme disease. I realized it was only one of just a few organizations that financially help adults with Lyme disease. They offer grant programs, and they also offer the Cowden Protocol at a reduced price for people with Lyme disease. All of the other organizations that provide financial assistance are for children, which is great, but adults who aren’t able to work, or aren’t able to work many hours or challenging jobs that pay well need help too. Gregg Kirk is very knowledgeable and helps many that are suffering with Lyme, whether by providing the Cowden at a reduced price, or by answering countless questions about anything Lyme-related. Highly recommend this non-profit to anyone dealing with Lyme!

My experience with the Ticked Off Foundation has been very positive and began at a time of serious need. The information and resources available through the foundation can be invaluable for people struggling with issues related to Lyme Disease. This Foundation truly cares about the people it helps and exists to make a difference in the world.

Anyone trying to help people worked through chronic illness gets kudo's from me. I have what should be full coverage medical coverage as a disabled veteran. I have VA medical care benefits and Medicare benefits due to my disability status. This place has offered me more help and advice that any Government Healthcare system has in regards to Lyme disease. I have been medically bankrupt twice since getting out of the service. It is really upsetting to me at times how much I have had to pay out of pocket for medical care. I appreciate the advice I have received from the Ticked Off foundation in the past and also received some herbal supplement care at a reduced cost. I did find the products to be helpful. It does bother me a lot that Nutramedix insists on only using alcohol based tinctures (with no other option available, even upon request. However that is not something this foundation can control and they do work with some other companies as well. I wish there were more grants for orgs like this. It is pretty apparent that they mainstream medical community is deliberately trying to downplay and under-diagnose Lyme disease so that they do not have to offer care for something that was almost certainly created in a lab on a Plum Island ie Lab 257. I've also not been properly treated or evaluated for Gulf War Illness. The VA has refused to give me they testing that they have talked about online as part of their Public Relations efforts. I have had speciality consults placed over the course of the past 20 years and most of these consults are completely ignored or cancelled without just caused. There are vets and other dying or facing severe and chronic illness some to the point of being disabled due to how this country treats some people. It really is a shame how dogmatic or biased the mainstream medical community is something. They literally put drug sale profits as a priority over people's health and livelyhood. I thought Medicare might treat me better than the VA yet they have not. It's embarrassing and upsetting. I probably would not be alive or would have left the U.S. if it was not for non-profits like this. I suppose is someone is a philanthropist or has a company and is trying to decide where they could make a.good.tax deductible charitable donation, this organization would be a good choice. I see some veterans supposed non-profits that have like 20 or 30 people on their board and most of the people are making a really good 6 figure income ie like $250k per year. I do not think people should all have to be martyrs and make a pittance if they are working for a non-profit. That being said some places seem to be acting in an almost fraudulent manner and conning people and do a lot less than they say they are. I know this foundation is not one of those places. They really do try to help. They remind me more of a Grassroots.type or place. I am pretty livid with how little help veterans sometimes receive, vs what public perception is. I have had a host of horrific health complications and have been denied care and mistreated by Government Healthcare for the past 20 years. I've been denied Emergency Medical Room care and even had a VA nurse that caused me a neck injury because she was having a inpatient attitude with me. I often do not even bother seeking care from the VA or Medicare because it is that bad and because of how much malpractice and mistreatment they have put me through. It's really ironic that a place like this has been more sympathetic to me that a place that has a multibillion dollar budget and sole purpose is to provide care to vets. All anyone has to do is look at how many vets have died or ended their life's earlier, to get a good idea about how some vets are really treated. My only saving grace has been my medical pension. I have spent a ton of money out of pocket on my own care, which is botersome. I at least know that these folks have products that work and are effective though. I saw a news report a few months ago where the CDC was trying to claim that someone will not get Lyme unless a tick is on them for at least 36 hours or more. ANY Lyme literate Doctor will tell you how abousulety absurd that is. Also there are countless Lyme surfers who would tell you the same. It's a shame that one of the apparent greatest countries in the world and a first would country with this much infrastructure and commerce would treat some people like trash so much. Apologies to the Medical Mafia for given a candid critique of how I really feel. They are apparently working on a Lyme disease vaccine. I would never take it though. This country REALLY needs to do better in lieu of ostracizing and targeting people that are seeking alternative healthcare. Furthermore more as mentioned above I have never been offered ANY care at all for Lyme disease from the Rockefellers A.M.A. medical community. So I'm not sure why some people act so surprised when someone like myself has a bit of distrust and disdain. What you would expect from someone who has faced chronic health challenges and poor care. Medical bills are the number one cause of Bankruptcy in this country and that is completely absurd.

I had gone year's of searching and finally treating but had to continuously stop as money was always tight when I lost my job too sick to work and bed ridden. My husband had a horrible accident with several back surgeries that were botched but we never sued as we felt it was just that, unfortunate accidents but life changing

I want to thank Paige for putting me in touch with Gregg. I had a small rash that an RN and PA told me we’re from rubbing against a plant. I sent a pic to Paige who put me in touch with and was told it was a Lyme rash. They told me to get doxycycline immediately so I called my doc and insisted they see me the next day instead of next week I am blessed to have gotten on the doxy with in week of noticing the rash. I have suffered with Lyme for over 7 years and tried a number of treatment plans, however with little improvement. Lyme and its complications caused me great suffering physically and mentally.
