Causes: Crime & Law, Legal Services
Mission: We provide legal services to clients at every income level. We have adopted a sliding scale allowing our services to be accessible to those who do not qualify for legal aid, but who cannot afford to hire a traditional law firm. Our services include advocating for vulnerable populations, such as: people with disabilities, veterans, elders, children, crime victims and abuse victims.
Programs: Our sole program provides legal and mediation services as described in our exempt purposes statement. All business expenses incurred were in direct or indirect support of this goal. We served 229 clients this year (170 total matters), including 49 mediation matters that kept people out of court. In court, we advocated mainly for children in dependency court, children in family court, elders, victims of violence, and veterans.
