Programs: Office of economic educationthe thomas r brown foundation (trbf) continues its work with the office of economic education (oee) at the university of arizona in providing outreach programs. Trbf and oee continue to offer the microeconomic and macroeconomic workshops, which have been so popular since the beginning, taught by award-winning professors and classroom teachers. Additionally, trbf now provides undergraduate education majors with professional development offerings in economics. Finally, as part of the strategic plan, trbf/oee staff have successfully established reliable contacts in the six southern arizona counties outside of pima county to assist in building a network with local community colleges, county school superintendents, and district administrators to develop a teaching talent network in southern arizona. Ua brown teaching fellowsthe thomas r brown teaching fellows program at the university of arizona (ua) is a three year program to provide the opportunity annually for 4 promising phd students who are interested in teaching economics to work with an economics professor in supporting the econ200 course. This improves current ua students' education and helps to develop outstanding teachers of economics. In addition to assisting current ua professors in teaching economic principles, the fellows also make themselves available to assist with foundation programs from time to time. The ua has provided feedback that the fellows "receive very high teaching evaluations when they go on to teach their own classes. " the ua has even been informed that one of the past brown fellows "was the best teacher he had experienced at the ua. "
